My couple Sabrina and Matthew are from Chicago, IL. I met the Groom while we both were vacationing in Kenya in December 2009 it was a chance meeting, I gave him my business card, (at the time I had no idea he was even dating). He called me in July 2010 right before his engagement to ask me to plan his wedding.
When he got engaged on August 20, 2010 he and his lovely bride gave me a call, so I began planning this destination wedding from “long distance”. I was in New York, and they were in Chicago, I never did meet my bride until she arrived in Mexico on Tuesday March 15, 2011 (just 5 days before her big day). She was very happy and excited with my hotel choice and location.
My bride placed her complete trust in me the planner and designer to find a wedding location, a hotel for her guests, to design the wedding, and in finding the right local vendors. She relied on a planner/designer whom she never met in-person. Hey, that’s what we the experts at TTT Events Planning, LLC do, we make brides dreams come through without having to actually meet them in-person.
Lydia flew to Mexico in October 2010 conducted many interviews with local vendors, (whom are mention later in this blog) and found El Taj, in Playa del Carmen a Luxury Condo Hotel on the Indigo Beach, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
We had a bonfire for the welcome party the first ever in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, we hired a Mariachi Band, local vendors to assist in making this all happen… Planner 1 Events (bonfire, ceremony & reception decor), Status Eventos (DJ, Mariachi and entertainment) , Indigo Beach Club (catering, bonfire and cocktail hour furniture) and El Taj for hotel accommodations and Makeup provided by Maria R. Beas.
We must thank the local government of Playa del Carmen for allowing this “never before” bonfire on any of the Playa del Carmen beaches! Thanks to the El Taj (Mr. Jack Pearlman) and the Indigo Beach Club managements for allowing us full use of the beach and restaurant, and of course all of their guest who graciously allowed us to inconvenienced from their full day at the beach!
The Welcome Party was a huge success!
